A picture we could talk about could be 'on the balcony' (by Peter Blake). For some reason my laptop wont let me put the picture on here so take a look at it. Its innovative because it mixes images of popular culture with fine art.
And about me talking for the presentation... i'll think about it.

Well the starting point now is to choose one of this artists images, so maybe we could do a vote on them.
"identify artwork as being innovative in some way" that's from the Assignment sheet.
*Mode of production
*Design philosophy
*Aesthetic/social values
*Audience/client
*Technologies implemented
These are things we need to know and might be good to look for some of these individually for our own essays, once we have the piece we're working with.
The powerpoint itself will come later, it is a good place to converge bits of our essays into one
piece. And then with that we work on a talk for whoever will speak for us, I agree with Mike, sorry Dan :p.
And remember the title "Innovation" when looking for the right piece too.
I hope this helps a bit.
Stu
PS I also need Terrys email address if I'm going to add him here.

Images

These are the 2 images i was posting about before in the charity post, i like the fact this guy is still doing relative stuff today in his 80's.
Can we try and get something together on this blog over the next 2 weeks, i think it would be a good idea to know what were doing and where going with this ?.
Stu said it would be good to keep all chat on the main thread and i agree as it will save us chasing different threads looking for the latest news.
Nominate a speaker for the presentation so i nominate Dan ha ha ;o)

and
are two that I like the look of, the preceders of the post modern art movements, what became known as "pop-art" These are two good examples, although they are about what is going on in the 50s/60s, it might not be totally clear to everyone.
